Have you heard of goodsearch? It is a search engine that pays money to non-profits.It is powered by Yahoo. If your organization is not on their list it will tell you and you can request them to add it to their list. I have mine going to WhykNOw! An abstinence program here. I will be giving to the Girl Scouts in my area when They are approved. Here is a link to the search engine: http://goodsearch.com/ It is simple and you can earn money for your favorite charity. You just enter the group you would like to donate to and the site will do the rest. All you have to do is use it to do your searches. I am giving it a whirl and have had no problems.

I had never heard of them, thanks for the information. I recently discovered www.ninemillion.org which gets money from Microsoft every times you search the site. They give it to various charites, some that have to do with United Way. It's all very legitimate and I sure feel good about it. Thanks for this tip though, I'm going to try it!

I've already told my mom about it and she teaches at a local college. She is going to try to get them to set up the computers in the computer lab to goodsearch for the homepage.

I run a small, all volunteer non-profit and we got ourselves listed on Goodsearch about a month ago. While it's not a huge fundraiser for us, it gives us a wonderful chance to allow people who may not have the money to give be able to give to us in a different, quite easy way. I typically use Yahoo Search anyway, so the search results are consistent with what I'm used to. I've been incredibly happy with the experience. The only downside that I can see is that they only pay out their funds annually. Thus, it is not a consistent source of income...but, a very dependable one for a once a year donation for non-profits.

Thank you for the info. I was pretty sure it was legit as I was sent there by a reputable organization. It is good to be sure though! I also use yahoo and am very happy with it. I will do one on goodsearch, and if I do not get what I want i do one on yahoo. It can be more time consuming, but it is worth it to me to be helping a great org. that can always use a few extra pennies!

I have never heard of them but it is a good thing to know that there are some companies which accord some money for the people which need them.

I chose the Girl Scouts of Moccasin Bend Council and I have made them $.04. It isn't much but if I get more to do the same it will add up. There are many different organizations that can really use the money. And it is something I do any way. +

tammyr, thank you for sharing this link. I have my girl scout council set up and now I am waiting for my email letting me know it has been approved. You are such a wonderful "green angel". That is the color of your robe when you get to heaven. There a beautiful poem that explains about the green angel and how only Girl Scout leaders get to be green angels. I will have to send it to you.

Thank you so much! I had never seen that site before. I just searched there and found they have Alzheimers Association listed. That is a topic close to my heart. My grandmother passed away a few years ago from the disease and my mother has the disease as well. It's nice to know that now I can help contribute to the organization.
