This is an excerpt from a little-known work from of the 16th c. reformer, John Knox :
"To promote a woman to bear rule, superiority, dominion, or empire over any realm, nation, or city, is repugnant to nature ; contumely (an insult) to God, a thing most contrary to his revealed will and approved ordinance ; and finally, it is the subversion of good order, of all equity and justice".

hmmmm very interesting. It is a shame that some religious people still believe that women should be servants to their men and their opinion counts for nothing. I'm glad I'm an independent thinker.
