Why do u believe in God?

I believe in God because we had to come from somewhere and I really can't see that I came from an Ape, lol. I believe someone was responsible for starting us off in our lives. I was raised as a Catholic although I am no longer practicing, but I still believe in Him. I don't necessarily believe everything that is in the bible, but I do believe He created the earth as we know it.
