A Slip-Up

I quit smoking about two months ago and hadn't thought about it for weeks. The other night I had a dream in which I was smoking and it was so wonderful. When I woke up that morning I couldn't get it out of my mind. I was obsessing about it. So I grabbed one of my roommate's smokes and had one. It sucked! Tasted bad, I felt bad, the whole thing was just so stupid. I haven't had the desire for one since. Hope it sticks! Dumb dreams. Anybody else have slip-ups lately?

I never took advise when I was 16, but I'll give you some anyways. Stop now and never look back. You don't have strong will. The addiction just hasn't completely gotten it's dirty nasty claws into your relatively new soul yet. Run!

Been there. I had quite for two years and ended up starting again when I was at a group home. They constantly offered me cigs and I started up again. Been slowing down graduly this time hope to quit in a couple of months.

Maybe your dream about smoking sybolized something else in your life that you are/were attracted to that may not have been very healthy/ good for you. Just a thought.

Congrats to you for quitting, and double congrats for not slipping beyond just the one. I tried to quit a few times with lots of slips. I finally quit for good about 16 years ago and I haven't slipped since. Keep it up gotbot
