Does anyone know if Atkins diet works?

I have been wondering if I should try the Atkins diet to slim down for spring. Does it work and do youhave tokeep on with it or gain back?

That diet has been known to cause so much problems in people it's unbelievable. Especially for those who are on it for a length of time. It's known to shut down some functions in your body after time. It's dangerous and not something i would personally ever do. I don't think dieting is the way. when i want to lose weight i do something like turbo jam, well actually i do turbo jam haha. I love it. It's wonderful, makes you feel great, and you lose about 2lbs per workout. Also, you can count callories with it. I personally don't do it, but that's my choice. I love eating and would never change how i eat. I think before you decide to do any kind of diet you should have your health checked. Things like cholesterol, vitamine sufficiency and other things like that. All the foods that are out there are meant to be eaten, well most of it, the junk, i prefer not to go near most of the time. I don't think cutting anything out is safe. I knew this girl that wanted to go on a fast, eating only fibre for 2 weeks, thing is people don't understand that when you change the way your body takes in things you change your entire body function. When you do that and then go back to normal you put on more weight then you had before. I go for workouts, end of story. At least that way i know that what i'm doing is safe and efficient. I'm not harming myself, and i'm getting my heart rate up enough that it will kill all the bad stuff in my body and get rid of things like bad cholesterol... Think about it... Turbo Jam is one of the best things you can do, there's also things like tony little, that's an oldie but totally works, and pretty well any work out. Things like yoga and what not doesn't work to rid your body of calories and cholesterol but it does help you to relax enough to remove those things, I do yoga and meditation after my workouts, helps to relax me and i found that it maximizes how much i gain and lose. Thank you for your quick response and I wish I could exercise but am disabled and cannot do much but do want to look nice for my shorts andf tank tops. I do not eat that much but when you cannot exercise it does tend to stay on.I do not need any more problems though so I will skip the Atkins.Thanks again. Have a good evening.
