why page not working well IE?

i have created simple web pages using linux and try to upload in the server and tried to view it using linux(firefox) and Window XP(IE) but pages working well using firefox but in Windows IE, the pages were mess-up..the font, colors, the sizes of boxes..? do i need add some codes or i need to encode and test it using IE?

Web desing its not so simple these days as browsers do not react all in the same manner to html, css, javascript... You need to adjust some things on your website (css, javascript, html...) to be well shown on some target browsers (i.e. gecko-based, IE6 and IE7 browsers) Take a look at Quirksmode (http://www.quirksmode.org/) for this kind of problems.

yep agreed with most of the others here, IE don't give a damn about standards and so it uses it's own may to make things, I have some experience making compatibility if you wish post your code and I'll check it to see if I can help!

you just validate your page through html validator. If your page validates, then it will run in all browsers
