top technical universities in the world

I believe the best university technically is MIT, and secondly it is university of california (berkley) and thirdly it is the Indian institutes of technology (India).

What are you basing this on?
It depends a lot more on the knowledge the students learn, then the number of patents a university has everye year. Research is an important part of any university but it isn't the best way to grade one.
The list everyone talks about is a very bad one, because it uses some points to grade on which are typically for US universities like debate teams.

i like ur intrest towards iit ..but unfortunately it is not so . we ranks some 255th rank in world ranking . it takes a long way to reach the top three spot.......
