i don't like watching the news. I think the focus is far too much on the bad things that happen and it just makes me feel down. If something really important happens I find out anyway through my friends and family so I don't need to watch the news.

i also do this to know what is happening in our whole world. if some times donot watch it then i look on net. it make updated about the things happened in our surrounding.

I don't get much opportunity to watch TV news where I live and because of the hours I work. I actually prefer to get my news off the internet. It's so much easier to choose the stories I'm more interested in with the option to instanttly cross-reference and learn more about them.

Yes, i watch the news too but for completely different reason. I watch news to keep me inform of all the things happening, new break throughs and development in field of science and stuff... Also sports to know whats happening in the world of sports...

Yup. Tv news are an important way fopr me to keep up with major events around the world. I try to watch the news on different channels from different countries in order to get the most accurate story. It's really interesting to see how different the news seems when you watch them on an american compared to a european or asian channel
