Should cricket b made National sport of india??

Cricket doesn't need any status.What happened to our Hockey,our national game No Cricket is very happy as tis with its immense popularity.

well many people wont agree on this because it is undertaken by an organization which is not related to govt

i so wish that cricket becomes our national game..! actually if its not the love towards cricket which is making me say these words,its the shame taht i dont have a little knowldge about hockey which is our natioanl game..! what can be done these sort of situations except laughing at ourselves!!

Hi, hockey is our national game. But we are going to a bottomless pit in quality in it. Hindi is our national language. But there are certain sections of indian population who doesn't accept it even today. Tiger and peacock are our national animal and bird respectively. Both are becoming slowly extinct despite efforts to conserve them. For me, cricket is already a common language that binds each and every indian inspite of difference in state, status, religion, caste and creed. Making it the national sports is not going to improve it any further. In fact, it may signal the downfall of cricket. Thanks.

Nah! Its not really important to do that. Because cricket is a religion here which is more than the National game "Hockey". Thats enough for everyone. Even a new born baby gets to watch cricket first and then hockey.lol.

I think it is not necessary to officially make cricket as national game as it has become national game automatically.Today every person even small chils plays cricket and have information about it.Isnt it sufficient to become a national game.Also today turnover on cricket counts to many crores, so it has become more important game.I think soon officially also cricket will be Indias national game.

it is true that cricket is the only game that connects india and makes every indian united. Hockey isn't popular as cricket and people hardly care what's going on in hockey .
