Did anyone hear about the salmanilla in the Peter Pan peanut butter? I work at walmart and everyones been going crazy over it. I just don't understand how a big corporation can let this happen. It's a scary thought to think our peanut butter could have killed us. What do you think on this matter? Should Peter Pan try again or do you want them to disappear into peanut butter history?

Salmonella (correct spelling LOL) was big news in Georgia as that is where the plant was located that had the problem. It was immediately closed and will remain so until they discover the cause. Once they do and take care of it I think they will reopen for business as usual.

I was wondering if I was spelling it right lol. I'm glad they are doing something about it. It's a very scary thought.

It's not just in the Peter Pan brand. It's also the Wal-Mart Great Value brand as well. They are both made by the same parent company. So best be careful and check your peanut butter. The recall now goes for either brand bought between now and last May. Scary huh?
