I'm always engaged in a long distance relationship. The first one last for more than 3 years but still it did not work.It was too late when i heard that my x found another gurl..and since i loved him so much cant explain how deep the pain is.(ahhh felt like dying that time),dont even know how to move on and it took a year for me to recover. thanx i now my new bf. we're together for almost 8 months now and i knew we love each other so much.Last january he went abroad to work and that is a 2 years contract.Im just worried of our situation...we will see each again after 2 years....so afraid that there might be a change of feelings again between us because of the distance.Im so confused not because i dont trust him but maybe because i already had that bad experience with my x.So many worries......pls help me to ease this feeling. tnx.:)

hi girl! hmmm.. long distance relationships... i had one before, it lasted for 3 years, but it ended. let me tell you the story. we met through a common friend, he was in another region and i'm in the capital city of the philippines. since his family is a well-to-do family, i always go there during vacations or whenever i can, all-expense paid by him, including the hotel accomodation and plane tickets. at first it seemed ok because we didn't have any problems as to how we can see each other. just one call away, the next day i'm flying to cebu again. 1 year passed, i was happy. but during our second year, it kinda got harder, because he always promised me that he would go here in manila, but he never did it. at first i just shrugged it off, maybe he's just busy. but somewhere down the road, it crept inside me, and i realized that in our relationship i was the one who's always sacrificing and he was doing nothing except buy me a plane ticket! it went on and on, problem after problem, then one day i woke up and decided to break up with him. there was no third party involved. the love between us just went away. i'm not saying that you have the same situation as mine because your boyfriend is just working abroad. but as what i've heard from a previous preaching from a priest, as much as possible do not be away with your wife/husband. it's because you are meant to be a compliment to each other. he's the potter, you are the clay. he's the riverbed, you are the water. he is what he is because of you, and if one of you is not present, the other one is weaker. but if you are really meant for each other, no matter hard it will be, your man will come home to you. trust me. =)
