I remember being a kid and having to be dragged out of bed to go to school. Always able to go back to sleep. But as soon as they announced school was closed, I was full of energy and out playing in the snow in no time! What happen(s) (ed) on ssnow days in your house. BTW - I was a kid who liked school

Snow days at our house are different depending on whether I get them off too. My daughter had snow days both wednesday and thursday this week (We got loads of snow). I was lucky enough to get Wednesday off too... So we watched the snow fall- and boy did it.. We bundled up real good and went outside and made snow angels--- The snow was pretty deep but it was so worth it.. They didn't last long though because we picked up another 7 or 8 inches that day... On the cold days (school closed for frigid temps- we stay inside and play games and watch movies)... Some days I'm not lucky enough to get off and my daughter goes to daycare--- She enjoys them too--- More kids to play with!

Yeah, the snow days were disappointing. I rather go to school when I was a kid. We didn't seem to have many. When I was up though, I was up. We homeschool, so on the days the schools are closed we are more free to run about outside. Sometimes nosy neighbors can get on the phone if they see kids out during school hours. We have our letter but don't want the hassle. So we made snow ice cream and watched a couple of movies.

I used to love sitting inside watching the snow fall it was so relaxing. Usually if everyone was too snowed in to go to school or work I used to walk round to my two sets of grandparents with my parents and clear their paths and see if they wanted any shopping or more heating or anything.
