What are the pros and cons of slashmysearch?

I just joined slashmysearch from a referral ID given here on MyLot. I had been resisting joining because I thought maybe the high revenues and the getting paid to search had to do with committing click fraud. What's in it for them? What do they get from my searching? What are the pros and cons so far? And if I download their search bar, will it make my computer slower or infect it with anything? The browser help objects I downloaded for social bookmarking were an absolute nightmare. But I keep seeing people talking about slashmysearch and as I am doing a project to collect real, paying opportunities, it's finally driving me too crazy. Has anyone actually RECEIVED payment yet? (not just earned but received in Paypal or by check?).
