Earnings with Adsense - Is this REAL?!?!?!?!?

Does people really EARN with Google Adsense? I see people claiming $999.99 a day. And there are good number of people around claiming ther account getting deactivated by Google Adsense team for invalid clicks and page impressions. When people Posts in Blog, Does the owner of the Blog have any control over people who reads? There are many chances where invalid clicks can always be created by users. That is so simple. I do NOT really know how GOOGLE can deactivate accounts for such invalid clicks. If they have the sophisticated tracking system they should prevent those invalid clicks and protect the Adsense Publishers. Many people who have lost the real earnings because of such invalid clicks.
