What is the best mp4 around?

I have an ipod video 30gb and only about 6 months has passed since I bought it that it started freezing. I mean it will open and play music for a few second and then the screen will freeze, it will finish the song it is playing though. I tried resetting it, restoring and even reformatting it but it still freezes at times. Although it is still working, resetting it all the time just drains the battery. I really don't know what is wrong with it and I'm thinking of selling it and buying a more durable mp4. Can you please suggest a better mp4?
