Is anyone here into scuba diving? How often do you go scuba diving and where have you gone? What are the things that you like seeing underwater? How long do you go diving for? I was just on vacation and was able to do introductory diving and I had an exciting experience. I hope I could it more in the future.

I love diving! In the summer I try to go every weekend. When I lived up north I'd go to local quarries, but now that I live down south I go beach diving. Boat diving costs more so I don't tend to do that as much but I really enjoy shipwrecks when I go boat diving. Springs are great too. Sometimes there are caverns to explore and the water is always so clear. In quarries you see stuff that was purposely put there- cars, trucks, busses, gnomes, anything you can think of. There are freshwater fish too. I enjoy the ocean because there is so much sealife to look at. But, caves are my favorite. I've just taken a cave diving course and there's nothing like floating through a cave. My longest dive was a 2.5 hour beach dive. My warmest was 86 degrees in the ocean and my coldest is 42 degrees in a quarry. It's an expensive sport but it's worth it.

I am a qualified instructor, so I will answer your question. Since you have done the intro package, you can count that towards the Open Water course so you have already started your your training in a way. So I dont see why you cant carry on teh sport, once you done the basic courses, the sport becomes cheaper per dive. Join local clubs such as BASC or university courses which are based on clubs attitudes (not commercial) and the sport is even cheaper.

scuba diving - oh i would love to do this
wow! I haven't tried scuba diving before but I'd like to enroll in some classes but they're so pricey! The nearest diving spot here in Manila is located in Anilao Batangas, I've been there before and the vast marine life we saw is a very memorable sight. I've snorkeled twice, one in Anilao and Puerto Galera, the experience is exhilirating I want to do it again. My husband and I are saving up for scuba diving lessons we're so excited.
