I have a 4 year old Pomeranian female that has never been bred. I have recently met a family that loves her coloring and would like to have puppies. Is she too old?

I have been told by many breeders to stop breeding at the age of 6. So you are fine. Before you decide to breed, make sure there is a market for the pups. Otherwise, you may have to keep the ones that are not sold. I used to breed German Shepherds and I was very picky as to the homes the pups went to. In the end, I kept 3 of the pups myself. Will this be the first time for you as a breeder?

Yes, this will be my first time and I am a little nervous. The male is larger than my female so, I have "Mommy Jitters". We are currently living in Japan, and the market for Poms is great! The Japanese love dogs and poms are kinda scarce here.
