No question that God or some reasonable representation of God governs the universe -- its creation, ongoing existence and physical history. Whether that same "God concept" applies to our religious orientation is quite another question. Having been born and raised a Protestant Christian, I have since seen that other great religions -- particularly Buddhism and Hinduism, and even religions stemming from Native American culture -- have a better handle on the "God concept," particularly Buddhism, whose precepts apply directly to harmony and some cognitive relationship to what many refer to as the "unified field theory." Maharishi University in Fairfield, Iowa, is one locale where the "unified field" is studied, and it is easy to see why this take on the "God concept" is gaining ground.
