So much crime, particularly muggings, home invasions, and theft are related to drug addiction (or drug addiction is used pathetically as an excuse for the crime), that I am getting to the stage where I think, "Well, let them have their drugs free, kill themselves if they must, but let's stop this crime wave." The most galling thing is that these craven cowards attack the most vulnerable in our community, the ones who most need our protection. And that protection should be paramount, and the lives of drug addicts secondary.
