Drug: Phenylpropanolamine

I have been receiving emails and text messages to stop using drugs that contains Phenylpropanolamine because it is linked to hemorrhagic stroke (bleeding of brain) among women ages 18 to 49 and seizures in children. I have searched for this issue and even the links that were given but as we all know not everything that is posted in the net is true and correct. Have any thoughts for this?
