Muslims consider pigs unclean and offensive, what about the 20M Chinese Muslims?

I read in an article on Yahoo News about how Chinese immigrants living in Muslim countries like Indonesia and Malaysia have to "tone down" their celebrations for the Year of the Pig because pigs are seen as unclean and offensive and not to be celebrated. But there is a huge community of Muslims numbering nearly 20 million in China. Will this be a problem for them? Not trying to offend anyone at all, just an honest random question.
