New Zealand defeated Australia by 5 wickets in the second ODI of the Chappell-Hadlee ODI series. Australia set a huge target of 336 which they failed to defend as New Zealand chased the target with 8 balls to spare. The man of the match was R.L. Taylor who scored 117.

They became proudy and over confident abt their super play.
