how if ur partner got terminal illness

i understand that people can be overwhelmed by this, and may act in a strange ways. I would hope that people stay togeteher because they love oneanother. I would also like to think people would stay with their loved ones when they encounter difficulties. I cannot imagine a time when one needs a partner more that when you know you are dying. i would think such hardships would bring me and my partner even closer together. I do not know how I'd react to this. I do know I would not drop him for another at times like these.
