The little stars

Hey, I'm new to myLot, and I've noticed that quite a few people have little stars with numbers in them beside their names when they comment on a discussion. What do the stars mean, and how can I get one?

The little stars reflect a user's reputation on myLot. They are awarded when you reach 100 comments, and show how many positive ratings your posts have been given. This is why it is beneficial to rate all the discussions and posts you see. The numbers range from 1 - 10, each number having a differently coloured star. Keep posting, and you'll get a star in no time. Happy myLotting!

That was a great description and very 'to the point'. Until now I didn't know what the rating meant even though I had a '9' by my name

Hello Springborn, Welcome aboard! The first responder has answered your question very well. So, I just want to add that if you need any guidelines on how to surf through myLot, see at the top-right hand side of your profile. There is a link named "myLot" (next to the photos and earnings links) which consists of every rule implemented by myLot administrator for the myLotters. If you have further questions, there are many postings already in myLot discussing about the guidelines to help you navigate. Some of my myLotter friends are quite an expert in this, you may also look through their discussions. Happy myLotting, Springborn!
