How do I train my child regarding his penmanship?

My sons penmanship is very ugly, what are the things I should do or give to my son so that he could practice his hand writing and improve it?

The key is how he holds the pen and practise! I would buy him a book on calligraphy and a good quality fountain pen and work with him on some projects. Most of these books will show how a pen should be held.

It's easy to say that but I think kids wont enjoy doing that.

Penmanship is something that should be learned in school usualy around third and fifth grade, if he hasn't learned it yet I would take it up with the school, you can also find books and things that instruct on the issue but still is a school matter.
