Hi, I am wondering how to actually get the work copywrited before you send it in to a publisher. The book is not yet finished, does that matter?

I'm not quite sure of the legal process in the Philippines but I can tell you that international law recognizes your copyright from the moment you create something. As long as it is your own original work (book, painting, sculpture, etc.) you are protected. To make it official for the record, you'll have to look up the government agency that handles that, on your own.
