I am trying to earn money to help my bro enroll into a college so I want to start babysitting. My parents agree that I am old enough and responsible but dont want me in some strangers house. All the people I know dont need babysitters so I dont know how I am going to get the job. Please give me some ideas.

Maybe you could try babysitting in your own home as this way you wouldn't be in a strangers house and your parents would be there when they dropped off the children for you to watch . It would still give you some extra money and might be easier then being at someone else's place . Not sure if your parents will agree to this but it is an idea . I would also like to add that I think the reason behind you getting a job is a very nice idea . To try and help your brother get into a college . Best of Luck !!

Have you ever taken a babysitters course? I took one as a kid and they're very interesting and you'll get a certificate for it. Try at your school. Ask around to people with younger sibilings and maybe their parents may need a babysitter. Good luck. Once you find one family you really won't need another family. If someone needs a babysitter they may most likely need you often. Keep your eyes and ears open at the grocery store also! And why don't you ask your parents to meet the people once you find them. Good luck!

Years ago when I was young and started babysitting my parents had a rule I could not babysit for anyone unless they met the people first. This worked out very well and all of the people were very understanding and actually appreciated meeting my parents before they trusted me with their children.
