Lost my passport in a foreign country and stayed in the aiport for 3 days.

I lost my passport when i was out of my country. I was not able to come out of the airport or even return to my home country. That day i got panic and later calmed down thinking that there will be a solution.
I was kept in the airport for 3 days and even the police officers treated me differently. even the CCTV was not able to find where i lost my passport. I came out of the plane and just came till visa stamping section.
Luckily on the third day i got my passport back. It was found in a waste bin and i was happy when i got it back. I even cried in front of the police officers when i got it back.
Do anyone have same experience??

I never had an experience like this but years ago I lost my 2 oldest sons (2 & 4 at the time) in the Dallas Ft.Worth Airport. I was terrified and cried. I have to say though the airport personel were tremendous and got the boys back with me in less than a half hour. I cried and cried I was so relieved they were back with me.
