Japanese popular music, known as J-Pop, has undergone an upheaval with the introduction of a young student, Koharu Kusumi, who has recorded two stunning singles hits and has an album coming out this spring. She has also been a member of the Japanese all-girl supergroup Morning Musume, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.
