my son is always throwing up why?

my 2 year old son is always getting sick. usually at least once a day he has asthma and when he gets a cold its bad and he has a hard time and will get sick but now its getting to be all the time sick or not. he will be playing and just start gagging and throw up. he can be eating and right in the middle of supper hes getting sick and then he finishs eating like it never happen. when he crys he gets sick. all the time i am starting to get worried and thinking of making him an appointment to see the doctor. do any of you know why he could be doing this? let me know. please
