Disney Pictures has a knack for producing animated films that appeal not only to children but to adults as well. They have come up with songs that are memorable. Which is your favorite Disney Song and why do you like it? Mine is Colors of the Wind from Pocahontas. I like it because it speaks for Mother Nature and how we should respect her gifts to us.

my daughter and i have 2 favorite songs. the first one is from little mermaid. "out of the sea" ariel sings it about wanting to live on land. i like it becuase my daughter and i just went to disney world and she fell in love with the live show there and she came home and started acting it out and singing it. it was so cute. she's only 3. my second fav is also colors of the wind becuase she saw that show too and my daughter acts that out and sings it also. they are both such beautiful songs.

Thank you for 'best response.' I had tried to copy and paste the lyrics to the song here but there must have been some word that it didn't like because it wouldn't let me! Truly a wonderful song!

One of my family's favorite Disney films is The Jungle Book. We love to watch the animals take on human characteristics and they are so stinking cute! My favorite Disney song comes from this move too, it is 'Bare Necessities.' I love the catchy tune but it takes on even more meaning when you listen to the message it delivers. The message is certainly one that ADULTS need to take to heart!! It speaks of learning to get by with less.

I remember watching this when my son was younger. He liked the bear's song and dance very much. But you're right. The title does say it all. People should learn to get by with just the bare necessities.

Maybe it's "Circle of Life"? or "Can You Feel the Love Tonight?"

My favorite Disney song is "A Whole New World" from Aladdin. I like how it talks about how love can open us up to new experiences.

Hello Lvap. I like many of the songs Disney says - some because they are very deep and profound, like Colors of the Wind from Pocahontas like you mentioned, others because they are a masterpiece in the love musical field like " Kiss the girl " from The little mermaid; "If i never knew you" from Pocahontas; "Just a little love" because this is a song about a frighten orphan baby whale - if this doesn't impress you emotionally nothing will; then there's "That's how you know" from Enchanted, sang by all the different social classes that must really impress anyone that listens to it.

Disney has produced memorable theme songs through the years. "Reflection" in Mulan and "A whole New World" in Aladdin are close to my heart because it was sang by a Filipina, Lea Salonga. I also like "Part of your World" in the Little Mermaid. I am currently humming it in my mind right now.
