Why we have religion if religion make war??

It isn't religion that creates war.. it is stupidity... I am almost sure all relgions are agianst killing and judging well judging also means judging other religions

I don't think that religions are spreading wars or it is due to the religions that we are facing numerous wars today. It is the people who start wars for their own worldly wishes and their greed to rule the world. It is due to the power and dollars that we are facing wars today. America and Israel and other superior countriesWant their ule upon the whole world and the rest of the world are denying this as a result they collide and we face wars.

I have yet to see a religion that preaches violence and advocates war. Major religions of the world are religions of peace and non-violence. It is the misguided zeal and enthusiasms of ill-informed adherents that cause war in their attempt to propagate their religions.

Although religion teaches us to love one another, it also sets up that there are two sides: God's side, and the devil's side. To destroy someone or something you have to lower its status. When people think that someone is allied with the devil, there they obtain their justification for anything they might do to them. This idea is from "Faces of the Enemy," by Sam Keen. He talked about, how, in times of war, young men fight against one another who would be friends in real life.... simply because they are told they are on opposing sides. Sam Keen told about how someone is propaganzed into an enemy by making them seem worse than the worst animal.... then their destruction could be justified. While I was raised religiously, the violence and war bothers me, and I really like the song "Imagine".... where it talks about imagining peace, and no religion, and people living to be happy.

don't blame religion for this. War is caused by PEOPLE who do not want to live and let live. Religion teaches about love and acceptance but PEOPLE want to make others beleive what they believe.

It is in our nature to kill. Some people motivated by greed will use Religion to motivate the masses to rise up against another group or religion. A group called the Cathars was wiped out by the Roman Catholic church so thats its nobles could cede their considerable wealth. There have been more people killed in the name of religion than for any other cause.
