Whether the World Cup organisers in order to have huge cricket lovers to turnup to World Cup had thought of this modus operandi. We all know Australia is so strong a team that other team found it difficult to beat. People slowly started hating the team or feeling jealousy that they win all the time. This will definitely affect the moods of cricket lovers and so they may not be interested to book a ticket to the world cup itself. Now see the situation, Australia is continously loosing match after match. Latest one is with NewZealand, who beat them by making 337/5 chasing 336/4. Now, everyone will start thinking that Australia too can be won. What I think is the organisors of World Cup may themselves have advised Australia to loose matches to put interest in the game, what do you think?

U have a point in your thinking to some extent. But i don't think that people would not buy ticket as not every1 believed that only Australia would win world cup2007. World cup is famous for its upsets and sometimes the underdog team also wins ( remember 1983 - Indian victory of world cup). But now the game has got more interesting. Still be aware of Aussies as they lost when their full team was not playing. When Bret Lee, Gilchrist and Ponting return - they story may be different.
