Is it still worth it to get maried in these times that we live in. I am in my thirtees and have never married. I am not realy interested but I don't say I will not get married. My cousin and his wife are getting divorced and the earliest court date available is only in July 2009 because it is fully booked. My sister and two of my brothers have also divorced. With so many broken marriages, is it worth it. What is your experience.

I believe that if people would use God's perfect plan for marriage, then maybe their won't be so much divorce. But people view marriage as dating these days. As if it isn't even SUPPOSED to be permanent, and as soon as any type of problem arises, time to move on. You have to be really commited to make a marriage a success and determined to work out any kinks that come up. Every relationship has it's ups and downs, people just need to learn that you don't have to bail every time you hit a down.

Thanx for response. I agree with you. I think besides the Bible, no one teaches us how to be married, and people do not always read the Bible to find out what is marraige. Our previous generation did not set a very good example either. I think our churches play a big role in educating people about not only marraige, but all aspects of practical living. that place the responsibility back on our churches to get back in line with God's Word and set a leading example. Blessings.
