The part of photosynthesis...photolysis *Occurence : Its light reaction. All light reactions take place in the granum of a chloroplast *Procedure in short : where light is absorbed by chlorophyll, turned into chemical energy, and used to split apart the oxygen and hydrogen in water. The oxygen is released as a byproduct while the reduced hydrogen acceptor makes its way to the second stage of photosynthesis, the Calvin cycle. *Site of carbon fixation : Carbon fixation is dark reaction, n those take place in stroma.

all the light reactions takes place in grana, so photolysis will take place there and the energy required to reduce carbond dioxide that is ATP a NADPH2 is also produced here, all dark reactions takes place in stroma of chloroplast. it is the site of carbon fixations
