What was your reaction when you found out you were pregnant? What about your hubby (or wife if you are a man)? When I got pregnant with my son, I was ecstatic because I had always wanted a baby and was told for 10 years that I wouldn't get pregnant. I was even on fertility drugs for over a year and it didn't work. My husband, on the other hand, wasn't really "happy". He wasn't upset...it was just he has 2 kids from a previous marriage and he was 45 at the time and was worried about leaving me alone with a child if something happened to him. He was worried he was too old to have children. With my daughter, I was not happy. It was horrible timing. Again, we thought I couldn't have kids..we thought our son was a fluke. We were using protection, too. Well, I cried and cried because we were so in debt and I knew that I would have another hard pregnancy and be on bed rest like with my son. I knew I couldn't work so I was really upset. My husband wasn't any happier, either. I know that sounds horrible. We NEVER thought about abortion or anything...we were just really shocked and scared..I guess that's a more proper way of saying how we felt. So, tell me about your experiences. Did you have the fairy tale idea of finding out and telling your hubby and he is just so happy, he starts crying or was it a bad time for you both?

my husband was so despearte to have baby... and when i got pregnant it was very funny situtaion. i went to doc and asked her baout my missing periods she told me that you might be pregnant then i tried to convince ehr that no i am not.. she then gave a me a huge grin and told me that if you had been physical with your husband then there must be 99% chances that you would be pregnant. then i gave urine samply which turned out negative but my doc was so sure thats he asked me for blood sample and then next day i got call from the lab regarding good news that the test was positive and i am pregnant. i was shocked for a moment because this was my first time and we're so desperate then...sudden news really made em stunned for a while..then i told me husabnd and then we both cried together with joy.

That is wonderful! I always wanted children growing up and always imagined how me and my husband both would react. My imagination was nothign like the real thing. Both times were very stressful for one or both of us. Of course, we are both SOOO happy that we have the kids..wouldn't trade them for the world, but when we first found out, it was stressful.
