Hi. The star represents your rating here. I don't think many of us are very keen on it though. It changes when people rate your discussion and posts (the +/-/! button next to discussions) If you are rated highly you get a 10 and then it slides down to one I think. Read some of the rules etc under mylot link and it should tell you heaps.
