Smoking?

Why do you think people smoke?
And do you smoke?If yes then why do you smoke?
Do teenagers smoke to show they are cool? to try something new and show they are adults? Or to release tension and stress of life?
What do you think?

I think teens as well as some adults smoke because of peer preasure. Also it makes them feel like they belong. Makes them feel they belong to a certian group of friends and they think it makes them cool.
I do not smoke, but I have tried it.

people smoke cz it's an easy way to relief themself, well im not a regular smoker but i do smoke sometimes when im out with my friends i just like its taste, why do people assume that it has to do with coolness? people smoke cz they have probably too much pressure in their life or their parents just don't get them

Ppl smoke because they are addicted to it....I have been smoking for a very long time (started when I was 8 and I'll be 37 this yr)...I originally started due to peer pressure among other things and I stuck with it because I became addicted to it...oddly enough its not the nicotine I'm addicted to necessarily...maybe a little but more than that its psychological above anything....I've basically trained myself to think I NEED that smoke when I'm doing certain things because the physical action itself has become habit..I have my morning coffee and I light a smoke..been doign it for well over 20 yrs..its a habit..see what I'm saying?
