Do you pay for Antivirus Softwares?

I have been using computers since 1985 and in the past 2 decades never paid for an anti-virus software and instead downloaded the free trial versions always. Why do most of us want to take freebees and not pay for something that has been created by people by spendin time, energy and efforts. Nine out of Ten would opt for taking anything free. Most of us are in this network because we are getting paid for wasting our time and are getting money the easy way. When will all of us volunteer to consciously pay and use products and services? Personally I do not waste any opportunity of getting my hands on freebees because i do feel that it is a part of the promotional cost of the person offering things free and as a result even If I use freebees I consider it as a gift given by the person/company that has given it.

LOL, my favorite place to shop is www.downloads.com if I need software I go there looking for freebies. Why pay for it if you can get it for free. It's not just that though, I am a single mother supporting my family with no assistance and can't afford "extras". Things like my firewall and anti-virus, I do use the free versions but if I could afford it I would purchase the up graded versions of both - from the same company I've been getting the free version. "Most of us are in this network because we are getting paid for wasting our time and are getting money the easy way." I do take offense at this, I work on line and work very hard for the money I make. Yes I would like to make easy money but lets face it if you don't put work into it all you are going to make are a few cents on mylot, cheaters may make money for a bit but they will be kicked out and anyone who wants to make real money here is going to have to work for it.

It is indeed a fact that most of us feel that way when we download freebies and many of us with exceptions of people like you do not use mylot as the primary source of income and hence I probably feel that way that we spend only spare time rather than our main time which is used for our own professions

I've never paid for any anti virus software. Why should I pay when there are ones out there that are free and are just as good. Some want to pay and that's fine but I really don't see the need to.

Yes, I have paid one time for a anti-virus software, and it keeps on working for more than two years, what I need is do something to promote it online. It's, very convenient even if I paid it with a high price at first.

Hi, I pay for my anti-virus software as I have used some free trial ones but they do tend to add spy ware in with them. As I've worked in a few different businesses we've been hit by viruses when we've had different software so I use the one that I trust now and not been hit since. I guess if you are using stuff for personal use it's not too bad, just make sure you back everything up - when we lost data on our business computer due to a virus it took me weeks to get alot of our hard work back!
