do i need to say more? i believe most engineers would agree. call center employees earn more than we do. after gruelling subjects in college and the mind-wrenching board exams, I don't think engineers get what is truthfully due to them. enough said. ^_^

Well dear, I guess it all depends on your perspective of things... =) If you're a fresh graduate, you're bound to get less, regardless of what you finished in school. Well, just think positive on things like this. There are places where Engineers are very much in demand... In the States, a certified engineer can get quite a lot of money... Again, it depends on where you're from. I have to agree that yes, call center agents are getting a little more than the usual but it would still depend on how good they are. Plus, there is no guarantee that the call center or the job itself is stable... So cheer up... Engineers will get what's due to them soon... =)

yeah i guess so. it's just that i'm getting a wee bit impatient. i feel everything is going so fast and i've not gone to the place where i want to be yet. thanks for the encouraging words though. ^_^

yes, i am an engineer and i think so too. But if you are really good, you can do more than just being paid. With a fantastic technology you can do whatever you want. For example, nowadays energy industry is quite a big bubble, one of my classmates go outside and start a company to make solar cells. He got several million $ from a couple VCs and is very happy.
