If you are to choose a book or a TV program?, what would it be between the two: Ripley's Believe it or Not or Guiness Book of Records?

I haven't seen or heard "Ripley's Believe it or Not", but I certainly like the Guiness Book of Records. Can you tell me more about the show?

Ripley's Believe It or Not is about odd facts around the world. Inside the book, it is always extraordinary, sometimes scary, and frequently weird. To give you an example, read this: "In 1835 French artist Baron Gros was so upset by critism of one of his paintings, he drowned himself in 3 ft. (1 m) of water." - p.125 RBION 2004

I prefer Ripley's Believe it or not because it seems to be more realistic and intriguing too.

Ripley tells the facts as well as records whereas Guiness only tells the records. But still, out of the 2, I'll choose Ripley's Believe it or not.

I find Ripley's Believe It or Not to be the more intriguing and more informative one. I know a lot of people though, who are more interested on what's number one in whatever. Ripley's give information on a lot of things which are not commonly happening. And I love the way they are presenting this on tv also, in the manner they are doing it in prints.
