Psychology is like sociology in that it is interested in a very broad range of human thought and behaviour. Insofar as psychology considers the physiological influences on human thought and behaviour,it overlaps with one of the natural sciences, biology. It also has one important area of overlap with sociology, known as social psychology. Social psychology concerns the interaction between the individual and society, with a particular emphasis on the influences of society and social groups on the thought and behaviour of the individual.
