What Do you Do When You Feel so Low With Life

What makes you keeping things going and what keeps you smiling. Sometimes, just like now, i feel so low and i hate life for being so not at my side. i feel that i'm so unproductive and that i can't do anything to make me help myself. that no one can help. In order not to think about these things, i try to divert my thought by doing others things like surfing the net, sometimes i write things at my journal, in this way i feel comforted. how about you? what things to you do to keep you going.

Sometimes, when I feel like that, I will get a good book and read. Or sometimes I get some scented candles, bubble bath, etc. and close myself in the bathroom for a nice soak. I try to think of it as washing away the bad day and letting it go down the drain.

When I feel low, I like to shop. It makes me feel better but only temporarily. So, I also try to meditate and focus on the positive aspects of my life. You said that you like to write in a journal, I used to do that years ago but don't do it much anymore, its very therapeutic though. I also like to listen to music that reflects my mood. The music seems to make my low feelings go away quicker.

I find that when I am down or at a low point I need to take my eyes off my problems and help people that are less fortunate. Nothing better to give an emotional lift than helping others.

When I find myself feeling low and depressed I try to take a walk. Look at the world around me, enjoy all the beauty of the earth. Simple things like watching my cat playing in the garden, listen to the birds singing, play music, or even just sit quietly and think back to happy times.

I completely understand where your coming from, as i have been depressed lately for a while. I go on the internet talk it out with someone who will listen, i play with my dog who makes me laugh, i go outside, i listen to some of my favorite music, or read an inspiring book. I know it may be hard to do, but try finding some things that your thankful for. Start small, if there's nothing major, and more things to be grateful for will come to you. I have tried meditation lately and it helps to get my mind to a quiet place. I also like to snuggle up with a good book, with a cup of tea, some music and just lose myself in a book, or take a nice hot bath with some good oils and herbs etc. I hope you find something that works for you,and eventually get into a good flow to start enjoying life better. I'm still working on mine too.
