Dead baby inside mother for 4 months

I fell pregnant 6 month ago and my baby died at 7 weeks, but it's still inside me, is this common? has this happened to anyone else? And yes it's still there it hasn't flushed out yet.
Operation is lined up if I get sick, but it is not concidered an emergency. I was just woundering if anyone else has heard of this before.

this has never happened to me personally but i have heard of it happening...what I dont understand though is why they arent goin to take care of it....if the baby hasnt flush out at this point I gotta wonder if it will...It just doesnt make sense to me that the doctors would want to continue to wait for somehting to happen (emergency) to you and not only that but the trauma of you knowing ya know...can you not get a second opinion or even demand they do something??

I can demand it and wait until emergancy operations are finished, last time I waited for them in the Womans health clinic around pregnant woman for 6 hours, it shattered me. I am pleased for the pregnant woman but sad for me. I just went home after breaking down I couldn't wait any longer for my operation, and I,ve been down at the hospital and wait more times since and given up waiting.

OMG angelkitty I'm SO SORRY you are going through this...I really dont knwo what else to say unfortunately....I feel awful that you have to suffer in sorrow like this and wish I had the magic answer ya know..{{{hugs to you}}}..Sometimes the medical field is so uncompassionate ya know...having you wait in the general waiting room was IMO so wrong and unfair...Isnt there some way they can induce you somehow to force your body to flush? or is that not a possiblity?.....OmG my heart just breaks for you!! Please take care of yourself..this must be just so hard on you and I realize that but you still need to take care of you

I would go to the doctor and demand that they remove the baby. Do you realize that you will never get pregnant until the body is taken out? I do not care if they wait until you get sick. What do they want to do, wait until are fifty and then say, "oops so that is why!" If your doctor does not want to do it, switch to one who will get it done.
