The fastest production car from what I know is the Buggati Veyron. 24 cylinders and capable of doing 350kph and more, it just had a speed limiter for preventing it from going any faster. I'm sure there are more faster cars than the Buggati that are being sold but they don't come from any huge or popular car manufacturers, they're purely independent.
