which virus software..

i'm wanting to get a really good virus removal program for my computer and i just wondered if anyone knew any good ones? also i'd like a good spyware program iv'e used a few spybot search and destroy and kaspersky are these any good?

For viruses I have always used the cd version of norton anti virus. This works very well for the newer viruses with it updating all the time. I also use a program called Spyware Doctor and this program removes every type of spyware you have and it alerts you to any program trying to invade your computer. Every time you get onto the internet it updates any new types of viruses and spyware that are out there and keeps you protected.

I use AVG (anti virus group) and their new AVGS (anti spyware) both from www.grisoft.com There is a free version for private use that can be downloaded but the full version is very cheap. AVG combined with using Firefox as my browser I havn't had a virus or other nasty for two years plus. (touch wood!)
