I need help...

February 20, 2007 1:54pm CST
For those of you who don't know me I am from the UK and 23. I ahve returned to education this year and doing the exams normally done in school of Maths, Chemistry and English. Tomorrow I have my Chemistry test and I have got myself so stressed out about to the point where I think it would be better if I didn't look at the books anymore. Migraines, ulcers, cold sore, tears.... its all happening to me. Anyone know any fantastic tips that will get me through it. It is tomorrow lunchtime and I have the mornign off. Maybe the right kind of foods to eat and liquids to drink? Anythign herbal that will calm me? Even something for migraines as my vision tend to go with them. I am currently on Migraleve prescription drug but I dont think its helping now? Anything else???? And please please wish me luck!

OK - well first - don't look at the books anymore. If you don't know it now, you won't learn anymore in the next few hours, so take it easy for an evening. Camomile tea is good for stress - though I have to admit I think it tastes vile - LOL!. I know it sounds daft, but a milky drink just before bedtime really does help - hot chocolate, cocoa, or horlicks - whatever you have,.... or one stiff drink won't do you any harm either, and might help you sleep. In the morning, please TRY amd eat something, and have a soak in a long, hot lavendar scented bath. Listen to some of your favourite music too. And of course I wish you luck - but REMEMBER - even if you don't do as well as you hoped, it is not the end of the world. You're a young pretty girl, you have your health, and your whole life ahead of you, and your friends will still love you whatever. Take care girl!

Oh rosie that was just so nice what you said. You are rigth, even if I do fail life will go on. Do you know that way though you get so absorbed in it. I'm not very confident about the exam and I know I don't nearly know enough as I should but it is only a sixty per cent pass mark so Im really hoping I can do it. Thank you.

Well, I will be thinking of you tomorrow. And you know what - not long ago, my man had to take an exam at work for a furhter qualification. It was the first time he had taken an exam for over 25 years, since he was at Uni, and he was really stressed, and got himself into a right old state, and was convinced he had failed! And - you know what - he got 95% with distinction! I was very proud of him, - and I'm sure you'll do well too.
