Do you think it's ok to talk about your partner - bragging or complaining - to others when he is not there? If you do, do you let him know what you say about him?

You know I think i rarely have anything bad to say about my husband. I think he's a great guy. And anything i say I tell him about it anyways. We comunicate a lot, but we are not perfect at it.

oh yes, b/c i know he does about me! i once over heard him talking to his partner at work, i was on the phone with him and he though he hung up but he didn't and i was calling him telling him to hang up b/c i kept trying to and it wouldn't then i hear him mocking me about a serious conversation we had had the night before. so i will talk about him behind his back without hesitation and not feel bad about it!

It all depends on your relationship with your spouse. If you are comfortable, you will appreciate otherwise you may start complaining. Honestly speaking when you pose this question to any person, Nomally a person would look into his/her relationship, then comment on the basis of his/her past experiences. The fact is --both the partners are responsible for the relationship therefore the statement would reflect the mutual adjustments.
