Men being assertive is good, but women being assertive is not

I know that generalisations aren't going to always be true. However, even in these times it seems that when a man is assertive when doing his job then he is a leader and it is seen as a positive thing, but when a woman is assertive she is labelled as being difficult or called uncomplimentary names behind her back, usually a b****. What are your thoughts on this? Have you experienced something similar or have you found this to be untrue?

It's pathetic the way that women are raised to mind their own matters and stay subservient even in todays society. From the moment we are born we are pushed with cooking, color associations (pink-girls) and so on. But heres my question, the people calling her a b*****, are they male or female?? Usually you will find the only people calling a assertive women a b**** is infact a male. Why? Because it is in mans nature and they are taught from day one to play the leading role in any relationship with a woman. If a woman outwits or out performs a male usually they end up thinking shes a b**** because it is a strike to the male ego.

Hello pilbara....... Sexism can be found everywhere. Some mens egos just can't handle thinking that women are their intelectual equals. Petty, small, pathetic egotistical men. Tom
