Preparing children for school

What advice is out there for children who are going to school or starting school? Is there a way to prepare them?

I dont think there is really, you just have to give them all the support you can and encorage them to do well and respect others

The only way you can prepare them is by Sitting them down and explaining to them what to expect. Do not try to paint a pretty Picture as it will not do any good. School has changed so much from when I first went and no doubt from when you went.
